The Joseph Family Foundation has announced the second annual Urban Nights fashion show and fundraising event benefiting Urban Peak to be held on August 1, 2014. Three Tomatoes Catering will be the exclusive caterer, sponsoring the VIP section.
Tickets are now on sale and all proceeds will go to Urban Peak, a Denver-based non-profit providing essential services and a safe community for Colorado’s youth who are experiencing homelessness.
Three Tomatoes Catering values giving back to the community in which they serve. Over nine hundred young people sleep on the streets of Denver on any given night, and last year, Urban Nights raised over $150,000 to help fight this epidemic. Three Tomatoes chooses to support this cause through a sponsorship that provides an exciting culinary experience to enhance the VIP attendees’ evening.
“Events like Urban Nights not only bring in much needed revenue, they raise awareness around the tragedy of youth experiencing homelessness, to many who have never heard about this critical issue or of Urban Peak,” said Urban Peak CEO Kim Easton.
CEO of Three Tomatoes Catering, Riccardo Mazzeo, feels particularly strong about aiding youth in need, “It’s a personal responsibility to help the future of the nation, and this cause aligns with Three Tomatoes’ philanthropic approach to giving back to the community that has let us grow into the company we are. It’s also a privilege from a business standpoint to be a part of such an esteemed and large fashion show. It is the perfect match of high fashion and beauty, something we aim to incorporate into our food and décor.”
This season’s most anticipated fundraiser will feature a fashion show along Colorado’s longest urban runway (over 200 feet) showcasing the latest trends from local Colorado designers. The event will also feature a spectacular silent auction showcasing art from Urban Peak youth. The night will conclude with a performance by singing sensation Charice, from the hit show Glee!
“Charice is a perfect fit for Urban Nights. If you haven’t heard her sing, prepare to be blown away. A voice like hers comes only once in a generation,” said Justin Joseph, co-chair of Urban Nights Denver.
Three Tomatoes Catering will be contributing a variety of action stations that were inspired by street vendors with culinary treats from all over the world. The street food tour will include reimagined Chinese favorites, Indian-driven snacks, traditional Mexican dishes turned bite-size and Colorado-influenced fare options. These items were designed to contribute to the ease and fun of the event while attendees can stop by each station both inside, and out, of Mile High Station.
The VIP party and silent auction begin at 6:00 p.m. and doors open for general admission at 7:00 p.m. The fashion show kicks off at 8:15 p.m. and will be followed by an after party starting at 11:00 p.m. Attire is runway chic, rain or shine.
Underwriting by the Joseph Family Foundation allows patron dollars from Urban Nights to flow entirely to Urban Peak.
